Commentary on the songs:

  1. July Cries – This is a rebellion against destruction of nature carried out of corporate greed. The lyrics were ‘inspired’ by some troubling news from Iceland a few years back, which instantly sparked us to write this poetry. July cries is the opening track for the debut EP and remains one of the most atmospheric songs we have ever made.

  2. New World Disorder – NWD blasphemes the modern religion that has no scripture, but that continues to ruin our intellect. The lyrics are apocalyptic in nature, which is no surprise as they try to represent the state of the world today. The song name does not actually target the ‘NWO’, but is a reference to the present. Our first merch t-shirts also carried this name.

  3. Unknown Dark Horizons – It’s a ritual. Or at least describes one. Lyrically it describes exactly the atmosphere required for a ritual setting. The song is multi-layered and thus has received conflicting response. Containing some dubstep-like elements, it is one of the more experimental ErilaZ songs.

  4. Horizons Lost to the Armageddon Sun (Sg.7 Remix) – This is Unknown Dark Horizons in disguise. the song was remixed twice for the debut EP by oyr dear friend, Spellgoth from Turmion Kätilöt, Horna & Slave’s mask (to name a few of his projects!). When he got the remix pack along with the original version, he described it sounding like the Thorns vs. Emperor collective, which makes us think it’s a good starting point for basically any remix. The second remix has remained a secret exclusive to those who bought the physical version of the debut EP’s first version.
